Pambula Public School parents, teachers and children have weaved more than 800 stars to shine a light in the darkness of violence.
Months of hard work by the school community paid off as the school revealed it’s final tally of stars created as part of the Million Stars Against Violence Campaign.
During last week’s assembly Ivy Smith Year 6, explained that the 876 stars would be sent to Brisbane for an installation at next year’s Commonwealth Games.
“Joining this campaign is our way of taking a stand against all forms of violence and stating that we want to live in a community and a world that focuses on peace,” she said. “This is our way of making a commitment to end violence in all its forms.”
The pupils thanked Anna Quinlan and the P&C for making the school’s campaign happen.
