Dirk Kruit has retired after 27 years of caring for the aged and disabled on the Sapphire Coast. The announcement was made at the April board meeting of the Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care Group, which operates Casuarina, Imlay House, Hillgrove House, Sapphire Coast Home Services and The Oaks Country Village.

Board chairman Phil Moffitt congratulated and thanked Mr Kruit for his long history with dedication over many years of voluntary service for the aged on the Sapphire Coast.
Mr Kruit said it had been a real privilege to serve as director for many years.
Mr Kruit has never been far from an association helping fellow citizens. He started his career as a trained nurse at Liverpool State Hospital, Ambulance paramedic at Coffs Harbour, CEO at Manilla District Hospital, Ambulance superintendent, staff supervisory superintendent for snowfield operations and relief finance superintendent for the south-east.
All at the Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care Group thank Mr Kruit for his service.
