After winning Best Newcomer at Sydney Comedy Festival in 2012, Rhys has gone on to perform all over the world, including Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Dublin’s Vodafone Comedy Festival and London’s prestigious SOHO Theatre, garnering audience and critical praise.

Highlights from the Showcase will include the no-nonsense comedy of one of Australia’s most in-demand comedians, Luke Heggie, mischievous Australian comedy darling Becky Lucas, and the rapid-fire jokes of American-born Australian adoptee Mike Goldstein.

Luke Heggie is fast becoming one of Australia's most in demand and recognisable stand up comedians.

His no-nonsense one-liners delivered in a dry, dead pan manner quickly gained praise after his debut into the comedy world by winning Melbourne International Comedy Festivals 2010 Raw Comedy and jetting off to Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Writer, performer, rat and prolific tweeter, Becky Lucas is one of most exciting new voices on the Australian comedy scene and is quickly commanding attention.

She has opened for US stars Beth Stelling and Little Esther, written for Josh Thomas‘s Emmy nominated hit show Please Like Me and was named as one of Buzzfeed‘s 27 funniest Australian comedians on Twitter.

Mike Goldstein has been performing since 2005 and became a full-time comedian after leaving his career in law in 2010.
