This is the fourth annual event and organisers are once again expecting more than 100 dogs (and their owners) to descend on Rotary Park on Sunday morning.
Dog owners and dog lovers are invited to have a fun day out while also taking steps to help in the fight against animal cruelty.
The event is one of the local RSPCA branch’s biggest fundraisers and event organiser Shane Thornbury said all money raised in Merimbula will stay in the region.
The walk will commence in Rotary Park on May 21 at 10am, proceed to the bridge and return along the lake.
There will be a number of marquees set up for people to purchase different doggy memorabilia as well as people providing dog services.
Mr Thornbury emphasised that you do not need to own a dog to participate.
“If you’ve owned a dog and it has passed, if you are between dogs, or even if you are waiting for the right dog you are welcome to join.”
