Members of the Far South Coast Maternity Advisory Group came together in Pambula to assemble pregnancy loss packs to donate to the South East Regional Hospital.

Earlier this year members of the Far South Coast Maternity Advisory Group (FSCMAG) met in Pambula with a mission.

There the group assembled 25 pregnancy loss support packs to be donated to the South East Regional Hospital.

The packs contain information on surviving the loss of an unborn child, contact details of support services, and practical items such as tissues, tea, candles and a keepsake.

Up to one in four confirmed pregnancies are lost to miscarriage before 20 weeks gestation. After a miscarriage, it can be an extremely difficult time for a woman and her family. Without help and support, this can compound feelings of grief and loss.

The FSC MAG wanted to support women and their families during this challenging time by providing support packs.

The FSCMAG would like to thank the Mumbulla Foundation for their generous grant that enabled this project.
