Competition is open to everyone at 48 Sir William McKell Drive in Pambula with events to run from 11am on the day.
Gym proprieter and organiser Dan Dakis said there can be a misconception that weightlifting and strength events are dominated by men.
But there will be almost a 50-50 split of entrants this weekend that is open for all competitors from the advanced to beginners and amateurs.
“We really encourage everyone to get involved in the competition side of things,” Dakis said.
“Competition is a great way to gauge your ability and set benchmarks to work from.
“This is a totally novice friendly competition and we welcome anyone who wants to have a go.”
Entry is $50 and register online at www.theironstronghold.com.au/events.
Spectators are welcome with food and drink available on the day.
