Martin Park has been the subject of community concern when the land that was gifted to the community in the 1920s, by Jack Martin, specifically for sporting recreation, was taken over by Crown Lands.
After a meeting between councillors and the NSW Holiday Park Trust on February 8, about management of the Pambula Recreation and Showgrounds Reserve, council’s director community, relations and leisure Anthony Basford would not be comment except to say that councillors encouraged the NSW Holiday Park Trust representatives to talk with the community.
A spokeswoman for the trust was also tight-lipped saying only that the meeting was a confidential closed workshop session.
“Be assured that whenever the trust, for any of its parks, considers any operational changes the community is extensively consulted,” the spokeswoman added.
