David studied piano under Sonya Hanke and Gordon Watson as an under graduate, and then specialized in Accompaniment, studying with David Miller at the Sydney at the Conservatorium of Music and Paul Hamburger in London, at the Royal Academy of Music.
He was Head of Keyboard Studies at Kings College in Somerset, England for four years before returning to Australia where he has lectured in accompaniment as a member of the Ensemble Unit since 1992 at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
He has performed throughout England, Europe, America, Mexico, Thailand and Australia.
Mark Walton is a highly respected and popular figure in the Australian and New Zealand musical scene.
He is widely acknowledged as a virtuoso clarinet and saxophone performer, inspiring teacher and sought after composer.
For many years, Mark held the position of Chair of Woodwind, then Chair of Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
He now lives in both New Zealand and Australia, and has performed in many parts of the world, recorded numerous solo albums as well as composing a large number of works, many which have been performed far and wide.
Mark and David promise to provide an enchanting and diverse repertoire.
