Merimbula Tourism manager Nat Kirby said she is hoping to see a big turnout of locals and visitors at their Clean Up Australia Day event on Sunday, March 5 from 10am until 2pm.
“We live in such a beautiful area, but the litter I see on a daily basis around the lake beggars belief,” Ms Kirby said.
“Bring your gloves and plastic bags. We'll start the clean up in the immediate area around the lake but depending on how many people show we'll spread out.”
