As one of the country’s top Crowded House tribute acts, The Crowdies Show, will take you back in time to relive the biggest and best songs from Crowded House and Split Enz from the 80s and 90s.
For over 20 years Crowded House have been responsible for some of the most memorable songs and live performances of the 20th Century.
These bands were the soundtrack to the 80’s and 90’s for many Australians and for millions of people the world over.
The Corwdies Show will perform timeless hits like 'Weather With You', 'Don't Dream It's Over', 'Distant Sun', 'Fall At Your Feet', 'It's Only Natural', 'Four Seasons In One Day', 'Locked Out', 'Something So Strong', 'Better Be Home Soon' - plus choice tracks from all the studio albums and Split Enz classics like 'I See Red' and 'Message To My Girl' .
The professional and totally live (no backing tracks) 90 min-plus set, combines killer tunes with energy and spontaneity. It’s guaranteed to appeal not only to Crowded House die-hards, but to fans of live music everywhere.
The Crowdies Show is made up of experienced working musicians who have opened concerts for Kate Ceberano and Christine Anu; played shows with members of Tina Turner’s band, the Choirboys & Rose Tattoo; and performed live with Paul Kelly’s drummer, James Morrison’s violin player and Sting’s guitarist.
The Crowdies was formed by full time muso Tim Pringle in 2007. Tim performs regularly up to 17 shows per month.
In order to give the full experience Tim formed a full five-piece band to pay homage to two of New Zealand’s finest artists – The Finn Brothers.
The band consists of Tim Pringle on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, identical twins Troy Manson on electric guitar and Josh Manson on bass and harmony vocals, Gerard Masters on keyboard and vocals, and Paul Novosel on drums.
Tickets are currently on sale at Club Sapphire to see The Crowdies Show on Friday, January 13.
The cost is $20 for club members and $25 for non-members, with all platinum and diamond members receiving free entry.
Doors open at 8pm for this over 18 years and over event.
