Tuross batted first, but had an appalling start until a tail-end reprieve salvaged the innings as the team notched up just 102 runs.
Matt Evans was the best for the visitors, hitting 23 at 10th on the order after the openers had gone down for just four runs between them.
A majority of the team had made a start, but was bungled out before hitting double digits with Ty Hitchins just the second player to break more than 10.
Meanwhile, bowling honours were spread evenly across a majority of the Merimbula bowling attack.
The response from the Knights was swift and brutal as Dylan Jordan and Brendan Daley trounced the bowlers with a staunch batting display.
Jordan climbed to 51 not out with eight boundaries under his belt, while Daley hit figures of 41 with seven fours to his name.
Saturday Merimbula one heads to Bermagui to meet the ladder-leading Bermagui side at Dickinson Oval from 1pm.
