It was all part of their participation in Day for Daniel, the largest child safety awareness day in Australia. The Daniel Morcombe Foundation is challenging parents, carers and educators to start a conversation with young Australians about their personal safety in the real world and how to stay safe in an online environment.
At the school, kids held up their hands, with the five fingers of their hands representing five people to talk to if they are in trouble.
“It is about having a bit of fun incorporating red, starting a conversation with your children about their personal safety and donating so we can continue to make a measurable difference to keep our kids safe,” Denise Morcombe said.
