So far the fund, which is the brainchild of the Pambula and Merimbula Rotary Clubs, has been able to assist several young people, in the area including Jedd Martyn who is showing great talent in athletics and Aussie Rules and several members of the John Pelling swimming squad who have just taken on altitude training at Thredbo.
The parents and coaches of these young people and the parents who have had talented children agree it is quite a burden on the family, not only financially but also on family life, school and work.
The Fund will assist these families and their talented offspring and take them to the next level of their talent.
Prospective applicants can find information and application forms on the Pambula Rotary Club website.
