Bob Porter, on reeds, has well over 30 years professional experience in music. He was a founding member of the Down South Jazz Band and the Down South Jazz Club, is an expert clarinet and saxophone player and has been a leading light in keeping jazz music alive on the south coast.
Robert Brooks began playing bass in a high school band when he was 16 years old. During the 1970’s he joined with various pub jazz outfits.
John Cursley was the founding drummer of the Down South Jazz Band. He has played with various bands and toured in 1984 with the Graham Bell All Stars. He is sought after each year to play at the Australian Jazz Convention.
