‘Art Is’, at Kinema on Saturday night, is an entertaining look at the arts with guest speakers onstage in a fun-filled informative evening. The rest of the entertainment is at Narooma Golf Club.
Narooma local Greg Watts of Vintage Hub Cap Guitars will be partnering with Slightly Twisted Productions for the Twist Lounge gigs at the golf club and Kinema over the weekend, including donating a Hudson hub cap guitar for the Lions Club raffle.

Friday, September 30, 6.30pm – $10, 16yo and under free; tickets available at the door.
Three record collectors dig deep into the vaults of their rare and amazing record collections and share the turntables all night long. Classic tracks from western, swing, blues, ska, rockabilly, rhythm and blues, and rock’n’roll. Don’t forget the fantastic dance floor with the amazing views! There will be records for sale on the night. A great way to start the ‘Slightly Twisted Long Weekend’. Tickets available at the door.
DOM TURNER MASTERCLASS, HISTORY AND FILM
Saturday, October 1, 3pm – $65; very limited tickets available
A rare chance to listen and learn from one of Australia’s Blues legends. Even if you don’t play guitar it’s a fantastic event. Dom runs through some of the Blues classic and gives tips on things such as tunings, fingerpicking, slide guitar and you are encouraged to bring your guitar and slide, bottleneck. We will be playing some of the important records that turned generations onto the Blues and also screening the documentary ‘Aint No Mouse Music’, the story of Arhoolie Records. We will be playing some of those actual records during the Masterclass.

An entertaining look at the Arts live onstage in a fun filled informative evening. featuring Richard Glover (ABC radio, TGIF, Drive 702, journalist, author) and his latest best seller ‘Flesh Wounds’, Vickie Humphrey, Head of Conservation at the National Museum of Australia and Dave Horton a past winner of Sculpture by the Sea, Sculptor, artist and educator. Live on stage in a show like no other. We will have a not so secret guest, Dom Turner of the Backsliders, providing music on a Greg Watts Vintage Hub Cap Guitar. This Guitar is the very one being raffled for the Lions Club of Narooma over the weekend. There will be a showcase of short films from South East Arts YOOFTube film festival along with some shorts from local filmmakers. You won’t see this show anywhere else, only in Narooma. Its a wild ride into the Arts with audience Q&A, an audience art class, laughs, learning and a world of things you didn’t know about. LOCAL ARTIST SHOWCASE
Monday, October 3, 3pm – $10
A day for local artists to get on stage and show the talent that is in our local area. We will have solo artists, bands, drumming, dancing, blues, African, jazz, films and who knows might happen by the end of the day. A great way to relax after a huge weekend and support the local artists. The draw for the Lions Club of Narooma Vintage Hub Cap Guitar will also be held during the afternoon. Cover charge goes to pay all the artists on the day.
