It’s a club with a reputation for knowing how to socialise, but this year’s Silly Sunday stunt from the Sebastopol Vikings might be hard to beat.

Taking their theme from Hollywood’s red carpet, some of the pranksters from the soccer club put together what may be the greatest end of season display ever, involving the scatologically irreverent film Team America and a real, full-size, actual helicopter landing on the club’s home ground.
Club president Rod Oppenhuis says the event was “up there.”
“Last year’s “Silly Sunday” was pretty massive, but this year went to the next level,” said Mr Oppenhuis.
“I think you’ll find Adam Swards and Marcus Lynch and Matt Jamieson are the three behind it.
“Marcus Lynch lives and breathes this stuff. So they hatched an idea and all came as Team America: World Police.
“So they had three props on the ground, then they all co-ordinated to get to Geelong at 7am on the morning, flew up and landed on the oval and came out as Team America.
“It took months of planning. But it was fantastic.”
