Helen Elizabeth Hanns of Merimbula Drive has pleaded guilty to forging scripts stolen from a Batehaven doctor in 2015 and possession of controlled substances.
The 56-year-old used the forged prescriptions to claim 320 Valium diazepam tablets and 80 Endone oxycodone tablets between July and August last year from pharmacists in Batemans Bay, Merimbula, Tura Beach, Bega and Pambula.
Hanns took the 24 prescription scripts from her Batehaven Medical Centre GP on July 16 last year before using them at Merimbula Amcal Chemist, Capital Chemist in Batemans Bay, Direct Chemist Outlet at Tura Beach, Plevey’s Phamacy in Bega and Prumm’s Family Chemist in Pambula.
Hanns, who suffers from anxiety attacks, wept in court as magistrate Doug Dick said the possibility of full-time jail was still an option with a home detention assessment to take five weeks.
“I never leave my house anyway,” Hanns told the magistrate.
The case was adjourned on its eighth appearance in Bega Local Court for sentencing on August 23.
