For the past 35 years it has been one of Merimbula’s busiest weekends of the year as people flock to the area from all over Australia to spend some time our beautiful seaside town.
One of the highlights of the festival, which takes place on the June long weekend, is the jazz parade on Saturday.
This is when the entire main street of Merimbula is filled with musicians and jazz enthusiasts who join together for a 'Blow' by the lake. It’s a great way to really get everyone together and in the mood for the weekend.
This year the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce is hoping to keep the streets full for the whole weekend after the jazz parade on Saturday, June 11.
They are on the look out for buskers or entertainers to fill the afternoon time slot and keep the street party going to ensure all visitors are well and truly entertained, both inside and outside the venues.
All performers will be under the Jazz festival insurances and approval.
The Chamber of Commerce is currently working on a schedule for the times and locations of each busker so anyone who would like to be involved is asked to come forward.
This is a no pressure environment and with so many people in the streets there is a chance to make a bit of money.
