At the last meeting of the Pambula-Merimbula branch of the CWA, Gavin Bell, from the Social Justice Advocates of the Sapphire Coast talked about Domestic and Family violence. They are encouraging all clubs and businesses across the Bega Valley to declare their oath.

The next meeting will be held at the CWA hall, Pambula, on Friday, May 20 at 9.30am with guest speaker Heather Austin, General Manager of Bega Valley Health Service.
Westpac
Westpac turns 200 in April next year and as part of its celebrations and to show our appreciation to the local community the local store has a $500 cash donation up for grabs. Any local charity or community group in the greater Merimbula area can enter a submission giving details of the group and explaining how the group will spend the money.
Submissions can be emailed to davelindsay@westpac.com.au by 5pm Friday, May 27 and a winner will be announced by Wednesday June 1.
MND Lunch
The Motor Nuerone Disease fundraiser on May, 14 was a great success raising $1200. Organiser Helen Cook thanks everyone that came and the individuals and business that made donations. The raffle prices were won by, 1st Isabel Dixon, 2nd Ruth Maher, 3rd Ivy Smith and 4th Shirley Hite.
Old School Museum
The Mrs Mac Exhibition is to open at The Old School Museum next Sunday May, 22 at 1.30pm.
There has been so much interest in the exhibition as Mrs Mac was such a local icon and of course Australia's oldest working taxpayer at 102 years old.
Writers Far South Coast
“Show, don’t tell” is advice regularly given to writers. Three little words – easy to say, but much harder to do. On Saturday May 21, Writers of the Far South Coast will welcome local author Gabrielle Stroud to present an afternoon workshop 1pm-4pm, at Club Sapphire, Merimbula on "how to show".
Gabrielle's workshop, subsidised by the Mumbulla Foundation, will cost $5 for WFSC members, $10 for non-members. For more information visit www.writersfsc.org.au or find them on Facebook.
Anxiety Support
The free Merimbula Anxiety Disorder Support Group will meet at 10am on the Monday May 23 at Club Sapphrie, Merimbula. The Support Group is open to people with Anxiety Disorders and their friends and family. The group is for over 18s and is not suitable for people with Schizophrenia or PTSD.
