With her new single fresh from debuting at No.1 on the iTunes Country Chart, the new Lost Highway/Universal signing is hitting the road for an East Coast tour.
Take Me For A Ride is the first single off her debut album due out later this year.
“The song is like an invitation to someone into my life, despite the warning signs that indicate trouble. Sometimes you'd rather have someone around and feel the pain that potentially comes with that, than to not have them around at all,” Ms Clark said.
The rising alt country star cites the influences of Americana poster boy Ryan Adams and folk legend Joni Mitchell in her songwriting.
In the last three months, she has picked up major trophies at the Australian Songwriters and Tamworth Songwriters Awards and is nominated for New Oz Artist of the Year in the CMC Awards.
Imogen Clark will be supporting Diesel at Club Sapphire on Friday, May 27.
