Following on from this event, the Red Baron Ball will be on Saturday, April 23 at Club Sapphire from 7pm.
It will include a three course meal, a professional Oompah band accompanying famous Australian songstress Nichaud Fitzgibbon, renowned jazzman Jiri Kripac and local legend Michael “Banjo” Young.
The compère for the evening will be local actor David Willis playing the role of Sergeant Schultz from Hogans Heroes.
The Merimbula Fly-In is not a new concept. It is the reintroduction of an event at Casey Airfield in Berwick, Victoria, founded by former Governor General, Lord Richard Casey.
Tickets are $67 or $97 for VIP and should be purchased by April 20. To book, visit Club Sapphire or call the club on 6495 1306. This is a fundraiser for the Sapphire FM 97.5 Community Radio Station.
