Eden capitalised on a 10-minute torrent of possession and field position at the start of the second half and took an unassailable 28-8 lead with 25 minutes remaining.
Batemans Bay lead early on through a try to hooker Zac Henstock, but a turnover allowed Eden to level 4-all. The Tigers’ fierce defence held out Eden again, but Eden earned another penalty near the try line and big prop Andrew Love barged through to score, Eden leading 8-4. Minutes later Batemans Bay failed to find touch from a penalty and paid the ultimate price when half-back Dylan Fletcher strolled through a gap to open a 12-4 lead.
The Tigers struck back before half-time through a well executed back line movement which ended in a long-distance try to Tom Bollard and trailed 12-8. Bollard finished with a hat-trick and Mason Harrison scored a second half try while Henstock potted two conversions.
