The disjointed start affected the boys’ defence and the Bulldogs put on 18 unanswered points in the first 20 minutes.
The young Sharks, in the latter stages of the half, began to work as a team and play for each other and were able to post their first try through James Nye-Potts to go to the break down 18-6.
The second half was a much closer affair and both sides went try-for-try to the final siren with the Bulldogs winning 30-20.
The young Sharks showed that they will be a force as they continue to develop as a team.
Casey Jackson, and Cohen McGrath both bagged doubles for Moruya.
Sharks’ coach Dan Thurlow, while pleased with the second half effort, acknowledged that his young charges need to get some ball work and game time under their belts.
The coaches awards went to Reece Nye 3 points, Corey Arnold 2 point and Albert Murray 1 point.
