The visiting Pambula roster belted a steady 133 runs in the opening stanza before stopping the host team short to set up a good second round.
The win comes off the back of two strong batting performances, while the club also offered up some quality bowling to keep the northern side quiet.
Tom Hammond clocked on for a good stand at the crease in the first innings to open up the Bluedogs’ lead.
He belted 65 runs before he was caught by Pirates veteran Nick Mason off the bowling of Matt Corbett.
However, Jake Taylor backed up with an excellent score of 35 runs to ensure the Bluedogs were taking a good margin in their first stint at the crease.
Charlie Shepherd chipped in 13 runs before the tail fell quietly, but enough damage had been done to give the Bluedogs a good haul of 133 runs.
in response the Pirates mustered 67 runs all-out to close out the first innings.
Corbett was the best for the hosts to knock 16 runs, while Charlie Baker bagged three wickets for the ‘Dogs.
By second innings play on Saturday, the Bluedogs had clearly found their stride as the team stormed ahead in runs while dropping just three wickets.
Dylan Cook went out cheaply when he was run out by Ben Potter.
But the Bluedogs dug in at the crease and began building another good total.
Hammond chipped in 17 runs before he was clean bowled by northern paceman Elijah Blair.
This time around it was Toby Keath providing the goods as he soared to an unbeaten haul of 66 runs.
Taylor again provided a strong supporting role to pile on 24 runs.
Taylor’s wicket was claimed by Dean Friskin, but the Bluedogs were already soaring to a 170-run lead.
With just a couple added from Baker, the Bluedogs declared on 3/118 leaving the Pirates with plenty of work to do.
This time around, the South Euro roster clung to the crease, but couldn’t find the difference in the 45 remaining overs.
The Pirates fell short of the target as they finished on 8/137. Lewis Hopkins led the bowling attack charge to secure four wickets for his team, while Cook followed it up with a pair of his own.
Saturday sees the Bluedogs host Eden at the Pambula Sporting Complex from 1pm.
