Eight year 12 students at Lumen Christi Catholic College are being encouraged to broaden their perspective with the help of the Merimbula and Pambula Rotary Clubs.

The two clubs are financially supporting the inaugural Lumen Christi immersion trip to the Philippines.
Next January, Teresa Hamer will lead the immersion trip to Pontevedra where the students and two teachers will live with the Franciscan Sisters of St Anthony for two weeks.
They will experience the culture, assisting the nuns in providing for the local families and visiting schools where the nuns teach.
The students have been busy fundraising throughout the year with barbecues, a garage sale and raffle and special events held in the college. The generous donation from Rotary is very much appreciated and the students look forward to sharing stories about their experiences with the Rotarians when they return.
