Without the generosity of the Pointon/Brereton family this beautiful part of Pambula river mouth would not even be accessible to the community and visitors. Their boundary extends to the water, not just to their huts.
The tank will be barely visible within a relatively short time after the purpose planted foliage grows and covers it.
There are some smart and sensible people on council and surely they will demonstrate commonsense and decency and not punish the Pointon/Brereton family in return for their more than 60 years (and hopefully many more) of generosity to our community and tourists.

We were there just the other day and admired their creativity and placement of the spa. Quite envious of your amazing views from up there. Thank you for allowing us as the general public to have access to such a beautiful part of the river mouth.

The general public need to realise that these areas would not be here for their use if not for local families building and maintaining them in the first place. I had my wedding photos taken in the old sheds. Very special area for our family.

There are too many in the community who think they have a right to tell owners of property what to do with their properties. If you don't own it, don't try telling others how they can develop or build on that land and worry about your own property. Good on the Pointon family and shame on the whiners.

This is just another example of people wanting to debate an inconsequential issue. It is a natural concrete water tank, on private property, in a location where you should not be standing at someone’s back fence staring up at their water tank.
Turn around and enjoy where you are! Such a generous family that do not deserve this argument.
