Judging the event was Wendy Treble - Victorian technical director for acrobatics gymnastics, coach and Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) judge.

Ms Treble found a pool of great potential talent in the acrobats that train at Sapphire Coast Academy.

”The enthusiasm of the coaches, acrobats and parents at their very first National stream 1-3 levels competition bodes well for the future of the endeavours of this academy,” Ms Treble said after the event.

Academy director Alison Czolij said acrobatic gymnastics included the best parts of both styles, including team work and dance rolled into one gym sport. 

“This type of gymnastics offers all ages and body types an excellent opportunity to master skills in a supportive team environment,” Czolij said. 

The young gymnasts also had a chance to learn from Ms Treble after the session. 

Czolij hopes run this event annually with Ms Treble set to return again.
