The side will again be the youngest in the competition with a few players still under 18.
Club spokesman Dave Smith said it will be a similar roster to last year and he was glad the side was developing it’s skills in the top grade.
“We’ve had about four guys under 17 and they’ve already played two years in A grade,” Smith said.
“Hopefully that depth of experience will pay dividends in the next couple of seasons.”
Tom Hammond and Toby Keath will form some of the club’s “senior” players, but the eldest player last year was just 25.
Smith is entering his 20th year with the club and said it would be “business as usual" for the Bluedogs to get back on the field.
He didn’t expect many to turn out and cheer the side on, but the squad will still be fired up for a good game.
“Cricket is a labour of love, you have a passion for the game,” Smith said.
Two years ago, the club’s C grade side topped the competition and made the move up the ranks into the B grade contest.
A similar roster has signed on again and will be looking to go on better this year.
In the last season they were just edged out of the semi-finals.
“That was a really good result for the guys after stepping up a grade and they are really loving the cricket,” Smith said.
“They had a really good year those fellas.”
The club is also excited for its C grade roster this year, which will feature plenty of father-son duos on the pitch.
“Our C grade side will be heaps of dads and their sons,” Smith said.
“We’ve got a half dozen or so coming up from the 14s into the seniors and it’s a great concept for those guys.
“It’s a really good opportunity to get out on the field with the kids.”
The club will also run three junior sides with entries for the under 10s, 12s and 14s.
“We’ve got the juniors in so we’re excited to have the six sides in overall.”
“We are hoping for the best season possible, our priority is to get the A grade side into the semi-finals.”
Smith would also like to see the B grade side make the finals, while the C graders were just out to have some fun.
The A grade will run as a series of one-dayers before moving to a two-day format early next year.
The A grade Pambula Bluedogs will play the Tathra Sea Eagles on Saturday from 1pm.
The game will be held at Lawrence Park, Tathra.
Junior competition is expected to start soon.
