Ford Park was alive and vibrant with colours and wafts of delicious smells as stallholders reported brisk trade throughout the morning.
Money raised from the markets is applied to Rotary projects for the local community, as well as national and international projects, including efforts to eradicate polio from the world.
At present, Merimbula Rotary’s chief local project is the construction of an accessible playground facility at Ford Park.
Partnering Rotary in this major undertaking are the Bega Valley Shire Council and the Touched by Olivia Foundation, which helps plan and fund playgrounds that can be used by all children, including those with disabilities.
