Applications are sought from community organisations, schools, charities, volunteers and individuals who make a contribution to the Bega Valley Shire.
Mumbulla Foundation chairman Gary Potts said the foundation’s philosophy is summed up in its slogan, Give where you live.
“The Foundation raises funds throughout the year to promote community well-being and these are returned to the community in the form of grants to small groups for social, environmental and cultural activities within the Bega Valley Shire,” Mr Potts said.
“By giving locally your investment benefits the whole community.
“And what’s more, you can double your donation because every dollar raised by the Mumbulla Foundation is matched by our partner, the Bega Valley Shire Council,” he said.
Last year the foundation made possible 36 grants ranging from $700 to $7500.
Applications for grants are open now and close at 5pm on September 17.
