CWA president Barbara Leech and member Karen Pryor presented the mats to care manager Rhonda Innes who said that the mats would make a beautiful addition to activity supplies.
Sensory mats can be used by residents allowing them to engage in a variety of tactile, auditory and visual activities.
The colourful mats have been individually designed and include zips, pockets, fastening items and keyrings.
The mats were made by Karen Pryor using items collected from the Imlay House Op Shop and took several days to make.
The CWA handicraft group meets on a weekly basis each Friday from 9.30am to 12 noon. It provides a chance for members to share and discuss their craft items as well as share materials, sewing machines and overlockers.
New members are always welcome.
