Referring to Kevin Walsh's letter of July 15, when Mr Walsh says he couldn't find any ardent left wing supporters who thought that the ABC is the least bit left wing obviously he is looking in the wrong places!

I, for one, support everything Tom Griffin said in his letter July 8, and know many others who agree.
Mr Walsh's preoccupation with searching the net for numerous photos of how people dress is trivia of the highest order, and would indicate he holds the same view as the general media and the ALP that Tony Abbott's choice of clothing is more important than the main game.
Following a public outcry, the ABC announced an internal inquiry into Q & A. This inquiry is to be carried out by Ray Martin. In my opinion this is akin to putting the fox in charge of the hen house. Mr Martin's allegiances are well known. Already he has indicated clearly what the outcome of his findings will be, even before he has viewed any evidence.
The ABC has "compounded their felony" by resorting to using a 10-year-old child to get back at Mr Abbott. The question put by this child on last week's Q & A was clearly composed by his parents and the ABC. Perhaps this is the type of free speech to which Mr Walsh refers.
It would appear from Tom Griffin's letter that he has a high degree of intelligence and that his debating skills are far superior to those of Mr Walsh. Maybe this is the type of balance which Mark Scott holds dear to his heart when crunching the numbers.
Mr Walsh seems to display all the symptoms of oppositional defiance disorder so I guess we should allow him some latitude.
