The event was one of two major fundraisers for Pambula’s Tracey Beasley who is currently in the battle of her life against life-threatening stage IV melanoma.
The kid’s disco was organised as a way to show support to Tracey’s three young children Molly, Toby and Banjo.
The 300 children were entertained by DJ Aeromix and supervised by 15 teachers from Pambula Public School as well as other generous people who volunteered their time.
Member of the Team Tracey committee and one of the event organisers, Tracey Elton said the whole night ran smoothly and the children had an absolute blast.
“The Team Tracey committee would like to firstly thank the children, their behaviour was exemplary,” she said. “A massive thanks to Club Sapphire, DJ Aeromoix, Pambula Public School teachers plus other volunteers from the community. It is one thing to have an event like this but we cannot succeed without the amazing support that we receive from our community.”
Speaking on social media after the event Tracey Beasley said: “Molly, Toby and Banjo said they had the best night of their lives! Thank you so much to the truly incredible Tracy Elton, you really have changed our lives and thank you to the rest of the Team Tracey Team you have given the kids so much happiness. Thank you so much to the volunteer helpers and the teachers from Pambula Public, we are so deeply touched by your generosity, it would not have been possible without you. Last but far from least thank you so much to all the incredibly awesome kids who came along. You guys are the best and made it what it was!”
The disco raised approximately $2,800 but Ms Elton said she is confident that Team Tracey’s next event, the 4 Band Night to be held at Club Sapphire on Saturday, July 25 will raise much more.
“It looks like it will be a sold out event, all the online tickets completely sold out last week and we released another 175 tickets on Monday afternoon which were also selling fast.”
The 18 years and over event will feature music by White Noise, Black Velvet, The KBs and Mondegreen and a huge raffle containing thousands of dollars in prizes.
Ms Beasely said she is really looking forward to the 4 Band Night.
“I have three brothers coming down from Queensland and they will be coming with me on Saturday. We don't get to see each other all that often so it will be a really special night.”

As well as the 4 Band Night, the Royal Willows Hotel in Pambula will be holding a raffle on Thursday night and the Top Pub Pambula will be having a raffle on Friday night with all proceeds going to Tracey.
