The Narooma Ocean Hut Compleat Angler reported that Benn Boulton from Charter Fish Narooma took out a few keen spearo’s from up Sydney way aboard Nitro on Tuesday.
The result was a double hook up! Followed by more than three hours of bluefin mayhem as the tuna school that ranged from 50-100kg was easily kept boat side using cubes.
Benn reckon you could have caught as many fish as you wanted, but yesterday was the day for the spearo's.
After broken spears and busted guns the lads managed three nice bluefin around the 60kg mark, although bigger fish up to the 100kg left them under gunned so to speak!
Remember the bag limit is now one bluefin per person!
