This trio has been performing and entertaining audiences for over a quarter of a century. With their charm and charisma they have taken their brand of music far and wide both in Australia and New Zealand.
They encompass an eclectic mix of music styles with solid traditional country roots.
Owen Blundell is multi-talented and adds enormous appeal to the group, with his character sketches, yodelling, harmony vocals all backed up with his rhythm and lead guitar picking.
Talented bush balladeer, Reg Poole, is in the traditional Australian country music style. Reg has recorded and written an immense amount of material some of which contains trucking and rodeo themes.
He is the recipient of numerous golden guitar awards for both writing and performing and in 2006 Reg was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) and has also been inducted into the prestigious Roll of Renown.
From Taralga to Tasmania and “The Territory” Terry Gordon has graced the stage of nearly every known venue in Australia.
A combination of comedy, country music, along with his comparing skills has made him a unique artist in the industry and has appeared at many festivals throughout Australia and overseas.
The year 2005 saw him receive the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for services to Australian country music and in 2012 was inducted to the Roll of Renown.
The Gunbarrell Highwaymen will perform at Wolumla Hall, Saturday, June 27 7pm. Tickets are $20 on the door with lucky door prize and supper provided.
