It is the second consecutive loss for the Merimbula women after they also fell to the strong Tathra outfit last week.
The Tigresses were near to full strength, but still lacked subs on the bench, but it didn't stop the visiting squad putting on a dominant display.
Sophie Martin, Kirsty McPaul and Katrina Oldham pressed play forward from the centre and the wing, while Amy Legge and Ayla Smith controlled the attack.
Merimbula was hampered in reply without the services of their usual pace striker, but danger mid-fielder Sarah Hale was well-marked by Caitlin Johnson.
Lisa Oldham, Anna Martin and Tegan Grant headed up the Tigresses' backline, while Judith Orman in goals was indomitable.
The Wolumla squad got the lead early on when the Merimbula goalie had a loose carry in the box, as the ball slipped Smith jumped on it.
A similar scenario saw Legge go one on one with the keeper shortly before half time.
In the second half Merimbula was again on the defensive and it was Smith capitalising on opportunities to score another two goals.
It looked as though the Grasshoppers were going to run out scoreless until a late play secured their first goal of the match.
