As the News Weekly went to press yesterday afternoon, police were stopping residents of Valley High units, Merimbula after the grim discovery of the bodies of a man, a woman and a dog.

In a statement to the News Weekly, late yesterday afternoon, a NSW police media spokeswoman said: “Police are at a home in Valley High, Sapphire Coast Drive following the discovery of two bodies.
“Emergency services were called to the unit just before midday after concerns for the elderly couple.”
Officers from the Far South Coast Local Area Command attended the scene and found a 91-year-old woman and 88-year-old man, both deceased and also a dog, also deceased.
The spokeswoman said: “The home will be forensically examined to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.”
