From the end of the morning church service on Sunday, June 22 through to the beginning of the church service on Sunday, June 29 the church is putting all its activities on hold to devote itself to prayer.
The small Baptist Church found nestled in the middle of a national park on Pambula Beach Road will be open around the clock for a total of 166 hours straight of prayer and worship alone.
When asked why they are doing this, Pastor Peter Kidby said: “If God’s people will humble themselves and pray and seek God, He will hear and forgive and heal their land.
“We at Pambula Baptist Church believe there is power in prayer and this week of constant prayer will be significant to us as a Church family and to our Bega Valley community that we live in. We believe we will see God move to heal and restore people and that there will be many testimonies of answers to prayer as we trust in God alone.”
The church numbers have certainly been growing as is evident on any given Sunday when driving past their property in Pambula Beach – the car park is full and it is difficult to find a seat.
Pambula Baptist Church would invite any prayer requests to be sent to info@pambulabaptist.org.au or to the devoted Facebook page (search Week of Prayer) or call 6495 6805. All prayer requests will be up around the walls of the Church for their congregation to pray for during the week.
