Member for Bega, Andrew Constance has announced that the Bega Valley will benefit from the upgrade of three bus stops thanks to a $60,000 NSW Government grant.

The funding was provided under the Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme (CPTIGS) after an application by Bega Valley Shire Council.
“This funding will see an upgrade to two bus shelters on Pacific Way, Tura Beach and one on Government Road, Eden Cove, providing timetable information, safety, comfort and protection from the elements, “ Mr Constance said.
“The projects will incorporate seating and signage to benefit local and tourist passengers during their travel through the region.”
Mr Constance said around $1.67 million will be distributed to local communities this year through the scheme, which aims to improve public transport infrastructure in rural, regional and remote communities.
“The CPTIGS is about funding projects which help to make public transport safer, more comfortable and more accessible for customers living outside metropolitan areas such as Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong,” Mr Constance said.
