A Tura Beach pre-school child was taken to hospital on Monday, March 24 after being bitten by a dog. The child was playing with a friend in a fenced garden, police said, when the children saw a dog in bushland at the back of the property. They approached the dog and one was bitten on the side of the face. The child was taken to hospital and treated for a small wound. Police said that no stitches were necessary.

The incident occurred at about 6pm and the dog is described by police as a ‘foxy type’. Police have taken a report regarding the incident and are still investigating.
