Sergeant Cliff Scarlett of Merimbula Police said that following an extensive investigation a 27-year-old Tura Beach man was arrested and charged on Friday, February 28 in relation to the Sapphire Office Supplies and the Tura Beach Harvey Norman break ins committed on February 16/17.

At about 11.20pm on Sunday, February 16 Sapphire Office Supplies in Alice Street, Merimbula was broken into and a number of touch screen monitors, two laptop computers and an amount of cash were stolen.
Just an hour and a half later at about 12.50am on Monday, February 17, Harvey Norman Tura Beach was targeted five laptops were stolen. Thieves returned at about 3.15am and attempted to break in again but were unsuccessful.
The man will face Bega Local Court later this month charged with two counts of break and enter, trespass, cultivate prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug and mid range PCA.
