The Leaders and Mentors Group was formed in the Bega Valley last year by three local people, Cara Hay, Nathan Johnston and Paul Zeller.
The group aims to provide members with more involvement in the community and to give them a voice to tell their inspiring stories to other young people and interested community groups.
Stephen Reed, who works at Ageing Disability and Home Care and Elle Millsteed, an Individual Advocate with Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association in Bega, provide support to the group.
During the last year two new members joined: Joel Bradley and Zac Cheney.
The group meets monthly for morning tea at the offices of Ageing Disability and Home Care in Bega.
If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Cara Hay at Cara.Hay@facs.nsw.gov.au or Paul Zeller at zeller_ 31@hotmail.com for more details.
