The event was organised by Gail Commens, CWA NSW State International Officer and Wame Phetihu Dechambenoit from the Botswana High Commission.
Speakers included Australian Mrs Ruth Shanks AM, newly elected president of the Associated Country Women of the World, the High Commissioner of Botswana to Australia His Excellency Mr Molosiwa Selepeng PH , Wayne Neumann Teacher at CIT Health, Mr Kabo Matiho PhD scholar in infectious diseases, the Botswana Honorary Consul in NSW Mr Ian C Daymond, the First Secretary, the Head of Chancery and the Education Attache all of the Botswana High Commission ,and the business development manager of the Africa Safari Company.
The very informative day finished with a visit to the Botswana High Commission and a guided tour of the Chancery, where a refreshing drink of their traditional ginger beer was enjoyed by the CWA members. They are sure to take back many photos and informative ideas and memories about Botswana, which is the country of study for the CWA of NSW for 2014.
