With a new Moon combining Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn in January, this combination will kick 2014 off to an interesting start and consequently many will be looking forward to a bright and happy year ahead. Unfortunately, a few little planetary spoils with Mars will upset many from day one through family and job disappointments, catastrophes and especially from February 15, when Jupiter and Uranus begin their crash mode until March 24.
Expect serious belt tightening by the Liberal/Coalition government as they reconstruct spending priorities to help reduce the present $600 billion economic debt. With the harsh planetary aspects in Australia’s horoscope throughout 2014, there is every indication of a decreasing government debt level by December 2014 and with Jupiter moving for the first time in 12 years into the zodiac sign of Leo from July 16, 2014 to August 11, 2015 the government will be on track to initiate a small surplus in the budget forecast by 2016.
With two eclipses forecast in 2014, one a solar the other a Luna (29 April - 8 October) the Abbott lead coalition government will be influenced to pull out all available saving stops in 2014. With new federal economic and budgetary plans introduced throughout the year, Mars in Libra (balance) until July will certainly lead the Australian government in the right direction, but the Australian public may not agree entirely with the methods and boundaries that will be set. With Mars in transit with Uranus during the first six months of 2014 new bills and legislation will be pushed through this half yearly parliamentary session. From July until December the government will be under extreme opposition in the Senate and passing vital legislation will be difficult due to not having the balance of power. Public support for federal government policies will be mixed between July and September as Mars will be hitting the hip pocket of Australia’s income sector.
With fewer government handouts this year, the general state of the Australian economy will be tight and dismal at times but a positive economic turn is predicted by the end of 2014. Saturn (planet of caution, restrictiveness and stability) will continue in transit through the financial income sign of Scorpio until December 24, 2014. It is predicted a continuation of low interest rates will be influenced by the Federal Reserve and bank interest rates will be low and secure for future home buyers at least until July. With Saturn’s fugal transit through Scorpio in 2014, this will be a bonus for the banking industry as consumer superannuation and savings are expected to increase, giving banks and investment houses a healthy profit.
As far as the global markets are concerned this will be an incredible year for the sudden and unexpected with many bulls and bears. The markets do not appear to be stable throughout 2014 with Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto forming a reckless combination as from January 3 to March 24. Expect to see trading very unpredictable for the average trader, especially in regard to oil, silver, currencies and in particular the Dow Jones Industrial Average’s and world equity markets. From April 4 to May 8, do take care with your investments, the global economy is predicted to encounter difficult times with markets showing many bearing days. However, from July onward, the overall year shows a remarkable improvement compared to 2013.
The Liberal coalition is predicted to be re-elected by the Australian electorate in 2016 due to a steady building of the economy through new infrastructure, alternative employment opportunities, greater savings and debt control. Australia’s standard of living will also strengthen over the next three years.
Global situations regarding unsettled economic and political issues could worsen throughout 2014. With Uranus continuing its transit through Aries and clashing with Mars and Pluto throughout the year, especially in January, February, March, April, June, August, September and November. As you can see, practically the whole year will be hit by major adverse planetary aspects and we will experience greater influx of a moving population between countries as the refugee crises becomes critical. 2014 will be a year of suffering for many due to Mother Nature causing seismic activity, volcanic eruption, bush fires, storms, floods, landslides, heavy snow falls, electrical hazards, heating and gas explosions, mining and machinery accidents, road, rail and sea incidents and disasters. Not a month seems to go by without a trouble spot this year.
This is the final year for global disarray as we presently know it. Greater economic control will be seen by many countries due to combined free trade agreements and wealth distribution.
2014 is not a disastrous year by any means; the astrological aspects are looking positive in the long term. However, care should be taken with anything that may threaten your future financial security. Be practical and save your money.
