Youth of the Year dinner dance a Lions’ roaring success

The Pambula Merimbula Lions “Youth of the Year Dinner Dance” was held at the Pambula Beach Surf Life Saving Club on Thursday, December 9 and was attended by about 150 guests from around Australia.

Event organiser Ric Vanderbom said that the Youth of the Year competition comprised five stages: local club level, zone, district, state, and national. The prizes consisted of a 10-day trip to New Zealand for the state winners plus a trip to the overall national winner’s area which in this year belongs to 2013 Lumen Christi College HSC student Molly Campbell. Molly also received a trip to any country of her choosing.

Molly has yet to decide, but word has it that she is considering India or Cambodia.
